Slow down, take a walk.

Session Overview

Forest therapy welcomes all, no prior experience is necessary.

As your certified guide, I create safe and gentle walks for participants. The idea is to eliminate stress and agendas so you can relax in the moment and allow yourself to simply be present in the healing hands of the forest. Every walk is different, and something new is always revealed.

Forest therapy walks are offered for one person or for a group. The walk can take place in all sorts of natural environments. I strive to choose a location that best suits nature immersion. Walks generally last 1 to 2.5 hours, but they are not strenuous. We go slowly, typically traveling less than half a mile. Much of our walk will happen in silence, although there are opportunities to gather and share what you are noticing. We end our session together with tea and a light snack, giving appreciation for the time we have shared in nature.

See you out there!

What to expect.

To give you a better idea of what Forest Therapy looks like, here’s a few things to consider.

Time Frame.

Sessions are 1.5 to 2.5 hours, which can be modified for you or your group needs.

Group Size.

I offer private sessions, or groups up to 12 participants.

Locations.

I host sessions in a variety of local parks and trails, also I am flexible to location requests.

Structure of Walk.

The walks cover about a mile or less. The pace is slow and meditative, enhancing sensory engagement.

The group gathers to celebrate the land with a tea ceremony to culminate our time in nature together. We give gratitude to our surroundings, and share our insights and reflections with other participants.

Tea Ceremony.

Your safety is of utmost importance.  I strive to minimize potential hazards and use necessary precautions during all nature therapy sessions. The walks are accessible to most, but any mobility issues need to be addressed. Please consider clothing that is weather appropriate, proper footwear, sunscreen, tick and insect bite precautions.

Please inform me of any pre-existing conditions or severe allergies.

Safety.

Walks will occur rain or shine except in severe/dangerous conditions. Canceled walks due to weather will be rescheduled or a refund may be issued.

All walks are intended for ages 16+ unless otherwise noted or pre-arranged with your guide.

Further Notes.

Dogs/pets are not allowed as they could detract from the experience for you and others. If you would like to do a private walk with your dog, please contact me.

Cancellations must be made up to 24 hours in advance of your scheduled walk. Full refunds will be provided within that timeframe.
